The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition is proud to present its gala event, Northern Lights of Life: A 1920's Style Evening of Living and Giving. The night will be filled with a touching survivor video, dancing to live music provided by the Tom Pizzi Trio, high-spirited bidding, casino-style table games, gourment food and special themed entertainment by Improv on Rye, all in support of ending the fight against breast cancer.

10th Anniversary Gravediggers' Ball - October 24, 2014


The special 10th Anniversary of the Annual Gravediggers' Ball will be held on October 24, 2014 at the Crystal Tea Room in Center City, Philadelphia. Join us for a festive night that will feature a tapas style dinner with complimentary wine, raffle, live and silent auction and fantastic live music by Big Ric Rising, one of Philadelphia's finest dance bands.

Today, Laurel Hill Cemetary, stands as the first cemetary in the United States to be honored with the designation of National Historic Landmark.The Gravediggers' Ball raises direct funds for the Friends of Laurel Hill Cemetary, a nonprofit organization that works to preserve, interpret and promote the site for which it exists. Since its establishment in 1836, Laurel Hill Cemetery has been maintained as a free and fully accessible educational, environmental and recreational resource for both nearby communities and faraway visitors. It has served equally as a place of enjoyment for the living and one of peaceful rest for the dead for over 175 years.

The Fall Gala is an elegant celebration that caters to the highest-level supporters of WOMEN’S WAY and the regions most well-respected business leaders and philanthropists. Tickets to this exclusive event start at $350 per person. The evening includes networking and a silent auction amidst the exotic halls of the Academy, filled with mammals, birds and butterflies, followed by dinner and dancing inside Dinosaur Hall with the largest predator ever to walk on earth, Tyrannosaurus rex.

WOMEN’S WAY will also host a special VIP reception, exclusively for patron and above level ticket holders ($650+) and select corporate partners from 6:30—7:30 PM. The VIP reception will include a private tour and chocolate tasting at the Academy of Natural Sciences East Coast premiere of Chocolate: The Exhibition. Chocolate reveals aspects of this sumptuous sweet that you’ve never thought about before. Guests will explore the plant, the products, and the culture of chocolate through the lenses of science, history, and popular culture, all while enjoying champagne and hors d'oeuvres.

The Gala is a critical fundraising event for WOMEN’S WAY and generates vital revenue that strengthens our core program areas of grantmaking, public education and advocacy and, in turn, helps create a region safer, healthier and more promising for women and girls.

10th Annual Liberty Ball: A Knight for the Kids - January 24, 2015

The Philadelphia Chapter of the Penn State Alumni Association is hosting The 10th Annual Liberty Ball: A Knight for the Kids on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Crystal Tea Room in Philadelphia. Proceeds from the black-tie optional event will support the efforts of the Penn State Dance Marathon (THON) to raise money for its sole beneficiary, The Four Diamonds Fund at the Hershey Medical Center. Since its inception in 2005, the Liberty Ball has raised over $100,000 for THON to help conquer pediatric cancer. The event will feature live entertainment, silent auctions, raffles, touching stories from Four Diamonds families, dinner and dancing.
